While Kevin manages media relations for Sellmark's brands, he works as an award-winning national/international outdoor writer, contributing 30–40 feature articles per year. He has also worked in front of and behind cameras for various TV shows on Pursuit, Sportsman and Outdoor Channels, as well as NRA TV.

Kevin is an 8-year Marine Corps veteran, hardcore patriot and lover of all things outdoors. He is an avid bowhunter and also enjoys long-range shooting. Along with his career as a freelance outdoor writer, photographer and videographer, Kevin has worked as a PR professional, managing public relations for numerous outdoor industry companies. He also serves on the Professional Outdoor Media Association's (POMA) Board of Directors as 1st Vice President.

Kevin's freelance outdoor communicator awards include: 2023 POMA Outstanding Achievement Award, 2023 & 2022 Tactical Retailer Choice Awards, 2019 AGLOW Best Video Webcast Award, 2013 POMA/Personal Defense Network Editorial Contest, 2011 POMA/Mossy Oak Pinnacle Award and 2011 POMA/Mossy Oak Outstanding Achievement Award.
