Our Story

Built for a purpose.

INFORCE has built its reputation around developing lightweight, durable, and innovative illumination solutions for military, law enforcement, outdoor professionals, and tactical enthusiasts. From its origins under Emissive Energy Corporation to its continued growth under Sellmark ownership, INFORCE has evolved from advanced LED lighting technology into a complete tactical illumination ecosystem.

1991

Emissive Energy Corporation Founded

Emissive Energy Corporation is established as a manufacturer focused on advanced illumination technologies. The company begins developing high-performance lighting solutions designed for demanding professional and commercial applications.

2000s–2010

The INOVA Era

Emissive Energy gains widespread recognition through the INOVA line of high-performance LED flashlights, known for durable construction, innovative design, and advanced LED technology.

In 2010, the company sells the INOVA consumer brand to Nite Ize, refocusing its resources on professional-grade tactical lighting for military, law enforcement, and professional users.

2012

INFORCE APL Introduced

Emissive Energy introduces the INFORCE Auto Pistol Light (APL), marking the company's expansion into the pistol-mounted tactical lighting market. The compact 200-lumen pistol light featured an ambidextrous paddle switching system, lightweight fiber-composite construction, and an integrated rail mounting system designed for quick installation and reliable performance.

The APL established the foundation for INFORCE's future pistol illumination platforms, and the years that followed saw the brand expand into weapon-mounted lights, helmet-mounted systems, and infrared solutions across military, law enforcement, and professional markets.

2016

WML Gen 2 & WMLx Gen 2 Released

INFORCE advances its weapon-mounted lighting lineup with the release of the WML Gen 2 and WMLx Gen 2 platforms. The updated models deliver improved output, enhanced switching systems, and expanded white/IR illumination capabilities while maintaining the lightweight and durable design philosophy that became a hallmark of the INFORCE brand.

2020

WILD2 & WILD1 Introduced

INFORCE expands its pistol-mounted lighting platform with the introduction of the WILD2, delivering increased output, improved performance, and enhanced capability for professional users requiring dependable weapon-mounted illumination.

Following its success, INFORCE releases the WILD1 — a compact, single-battery pistol light delivering 500 lumens — continuing the brand's focus on lightweight design, reliability, and intuitive operation.

2021

Sellmark Acquires INFORCE

Sellmark acquires INFORCE, adding the established tactical illumination brand to its growing portfolio of outdoor and shooting industry products. The acquisition strengthens Sellmark's presence in the military, law enforcement, and tactical markets while providing INFORCE with expanded resources, distribution capabilities, and opportunities for continued innovation.

Following the acquisition, INFORCE continues operating as a dedicated tactical illumination brand while benefiting from Sellmark's broader industry expertise and infrastructure.

2023

Gen 3 WML & WMLx Released

INFORCE refreshes its flagship weapon-mounted lighting platforms with the introduction of the Gen 3 WML and WMLx. The new generation delivers increased brightness, improved durability, and enhanced performance while maintaining the proven battery life and lightweight form factor users expect from the platform.

2025

Texas Operations & the ARC Series

Following its acquisition by Sellmark, INFORCE expands its operational capabilities through integration with Sellmark's Texas-based infrastructure, supporting enhanced product development and testing.

The same year, INFORCE releases the ARC Series — a modular, high-output tactical flashlight platform featuring:

  • High-output illumination performance
  • Modular configurations utilizing 18-series batteries
  • Compatibility with SureFire-pattern tail caps and heads
  • Flexible configurations for different mission requirements

The ARC Series represents a significant evolution in INFORCE's product strategy, bringing the brand's tactical lighting expertise into a broader illumination ecosystem.
